Description

Bridal Rose is Alvin's best-known flatware pattern, introduced in 1903. Dense roses and foliage cover the front and the back of the handle, and on serving pieces the flowers often flow down into the bowl. The relief is deep and the pieces are heavy for their size. Antique examples carry Alvin's trademark with STERLING and often PATENT. Turn the piece over before you judge it, since the decorated reverse is part of the design. Gorham later reissued Bridal Rose under its own mark.
