Description

King is Dominick & Haff's take on the traditional King's pattern, dated by Replacements to 1880, the same year the firm bought the flatware dies of Adams & Shaw. The handle widens to a broad shaped tip decorated with a shell motif, and the pieces are large and heavy. Full services of 100 pieces or more still appear for sale, often with old script monograms. Many makers produced King patterns, so confirm the D&H rectangle, circle and diamond mark on the back before you attribute a piece.
