Description
Continental was Georg Jensen's first major flatware range, designed by Jensen himself in 1906, two years after he opened his workshop. The handles are plain and gently shaped, based on old Nordic tools, and the whole surface is lightly hammered so it catches the light. That hammered texture is the quickest way to spot it. Georg Jensen still makes Continental in sterling. Older pieces carry the dated Jensen marks of their period, while postwar pieces show the incuse dotted oval with STERLING DENMARK.
