Description

Prelude is a 1939 International Silver pattern designed by Alfred G. Kintz. It has a slender handle with raised borders running down a fluted stem and a romantic floral top. International also made matching hollowware. The flatware stayed in production for decades and later pieces were made offshore, and collectors tend to prefer the older pieces for their sharper detail. Look for International Sterling and often the Prelude name on the back of the handle when you sort a set.
